Sugarcane Molasses
Sugarcane molasses, a by-product of sugar production, is a concentrated, dark brown syrup containing 45–55% sugar. Combining natural energy with high nutrient density, it plays a central role in the global feed and fermentation industries. Thanks to its distinctive flavour and consistent composition, it is a highly valued raw material in many production processes.
Typical quality characteristics include a high dry matter content (approximately 78–85%), good flow properties and a high mineral content, particularly of potassium, calcium and trace elements. In feed production, it improves palatability, aids pelletisation and serves as a natural energy source.
The main growing and production regions are America and Asia. Thanks to large-scale processing of sugarcane, molasses is available in consistent quantities through predictable international supply chains. This makes it a reliable and flexible supply option for importers and processors in a wide variety of markets.
